We had a birthday party group today with about 20 of us at 1:00. The Decor of this restaurant, our server, the hostesses, the food and the presentation was spot on!! 💯!! We highly recommend this amazing new restaurant in Newport for a party of two or a big group. The chef came out and said hello and we applauded him because every dish that came out was perfect. Great job!!

Trendy spot with a great patio and also a nice dining room. The dishes, on the other hand, were creative and generous however not daring in the flavor palate.For Mexican cuisine, I would have liked bolder more satisfying flavor.

This unique spot is worth its hype. The food is one of a kind and something to marvel. The staff is friendly and funky. Do not attempt this spot if you are in a hurry. An experience here is a two hour minimum commitment.

Amazing vegan food! Clean, cute atmosphere, plenty of street parking nearby, friendly staff. Go during weekday happy hour— Nearly 3 weeks later and I’m still thinking about the nachos and chimichanga.

All the food is vegan and creative and delicious. I definitely recommend the pineapple upside down cake and anything with coconut rice (in my case the lentil bowl) but everything is so good and the waiter was so helpful!

Delicious, fresh and quick Mexican food. I've had their tacos and asada burrito, and all were great!

This has been my favorite Los Angeles restaurant since it opened. Food is delicious, great variety, always perfectly cooked. Favorites are the calamari, buffalo cauliflower, lobster tacos, wedge salad, and Buckeye burger. Servers are always friendly and the right balance of attentive without being obnoxious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

My son in law took my daughter and myself out to dinner and the food was amazing! We are planning to go back when I return to Los Angeles. I just wish they had a restaurant here in Tennessee. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Always amazing , great selection of vegan Mexican food. I have never been disappointed when coming here. The tequila is top notch. Reservation is highly encouraged.

One of my favorite spots in LA. The food menu is large enough, drinks menu is really good too even though they only serve Mezcal and Tequila (I forgot now if they sell beer or wine, sorry!).This restaurant is extremely beautiful, and service is really helpful and friendly. The patio has heaters and a fireplace, they also provide blankets if needed.We really like the mushroom fajitas, as well as the famous cauliflower (a must). We usually get those two and we switch between other items in the menu. We like to get a few things and split them.I’ve been to other vegan restaurants and you can see how they try to make a big effort in doing “vegan replacement” plates. Here at Gracias Madre they make food, and it is vegan, and it’s delicious. You realize that plant-based food is amazing and you don’t need anything else. If I was rich enough I would eat from this place every day and become fully vegan!There’s not much to say, just go and try it by yourself, you will be VERY happy 😋

Mexican food here - excellent. Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. Looking forward to going back again. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. They have so many good reviews for a reason.

I can't eat non-gunned food very well. But the foods here were rich in taste. The atmosphere is very satisfying. The staff is kind.

better spot to get drinks with a fun atmosphere... in terms of the food, we were disappointed with the menu (a lot of items they used to have that were amazing are gone) and the quality of the food we had. it was not as fresh and delicious as we remembered.

If you’re vegan then this is a place you must try. Everything I had was flavorful and impressive. Ask your server about the dinner nachos (not usually on the menu) and if you’re hungry I’d recommend getting into that apple cobbler for dessert.

Great vegan Mexican food. Good portion sizes. Parking might be hard to find.

I wish I had gotten our server's name. She may have been the best one I have ever had. Everyone at the table commented how great she was. She was so thoughtful and uber knowledgeable about the menu and was so patient with our picky eaters. Hostesses were fab as well. Food always wonderful

My wife and I went to this restaurant because it's our anniversary. The place was perfect for the celebration. Besides, one of the staff that I requested to sing in front of my wife did his part well. The foods and wine were delicious and tasty. Honestly, we greatly enjoyed our day with your restaurant. It was perfect!

The short version: expensive for mild, plainly done vegan food.The long version:- beautifully decorated inside and out- all vegan, which is becoming easier to find these days- extensive drink menu- food (and drinks) are expensive (all food dishes are over $10 and most are at least $15)- food options are interesting but they come out tasting very plain and mild- the "chorizo" was easily the most flavorful part of my meal- the salsas were especially disappointing I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time so I'm glad I finally did...but I feel no need to come try it again.

Didnt even get try the food because of the exceptionally rude service. I understand its busy, but you shouldn't be rude to customers under any circumstance. Especially after reserving a table 2 hours in advance. No intention of ever returning again.

Super delicious vegan food!! I never thought that cauliflower can be so delicious. They have also amazing sauces and great coffee too. I will definitely go back!!

Delicious, guilt-free food. Meatless doesn't mean bland. Everything was scrumptious. This place was packed with a happy, vibrant crowd. I was taken here for my birthday and I will definitely be back again.

If you're not sure what to get then go with the Grilled Tofu. The coconut rice is almost a dessert in itself and I now know what good tofu tastes like.

My food was delicious. I had a young coconut ceviche, black bean burger and a soda. This was our first stop in LA and we were charmed! The terrace was very welcoming and cute, with a 100-year-old olive tree as a center piece. Our server Danny was spectacular!

Gracias Madre does a fantastic job with its menu - I’ve never been disappointed. I didn’t even realize it’s a vegan until probably like my third visit. The space in general is trendy and comfortable, and the good drink selection only helps with the good vibes.

Cauliflower appetizer is delicious along with the homemade chips and guacamole. The chia pancakes are amazing. Everything is fresh, healthy and delicious. The staff is very attentive and the bar is amazing. Favorite vegan restaurant!

Excellent guacamole to start, chili rellenos were wonderful and a great chocolate brownie dessert and all plant based. And with a very warm atmosphere despite sitting outside where it was kind of cool. New favorite restaurant.

I loved the interior and the outside sitting area - amazing ambience! Charming, relaxing and so pleasing. We went on a warm sunny day and I enjoyed every minute spent there. As for the food - I'm not vegan, so for me it seemed alright, but not more than that. However, overall a very positive experience. Definitely worth coming to get your own impression 😉

Another trendy, vegan place. The food is good. Not good- good, more okay- good. Will I return? Probably not. Will I dissuade anyone from going. Probably not. I ordered the crispy, potato/ chorizo tacos. I ate them all. The things is that, I could have made better tasting tacos of this sort at home. I'm not dissing the establishment in any way. In fact, the ambiance is on point. Being a LA native, I. Know a thing or two about Mexican food and this just doesn't tick my boxes.

Easily my favorite restaurant in West Hollywood. Mexican AND vegan!! Great happy hour. Great service. Great vibe. Come after dark to enjoy the pretty lights in the outdoor patio.

A home run! Brilliant, creative and incredibly tasty vegan food. In this chef's hands; vegan rivals and surpasses dishes with meat and dairy. Texture, flavor, presentation. Off the charts.Upscale casual decor and crowd. Wait staff seasoned.

Went in for lunch on a Sunday. The service was good, fast, and friendly. The interior was kitchy, but warm and made me smile. The soup I got was massive - got 2 meals out of it. I would go back if in the area again - better than the other 2 places I have been to on Olvera St.

Service was great, ambiance equally as good. Of the few dishes we tried it seemed low in flavor, but the jackfruit tacos were a knockout hit.

This is a must. If you are thinking, don't. You need to try the food. We went for brunch and it has a good mixture of breakfast and lunch dishes. Portion size are big for what you pay and delicious. Will return if im back in LA. Staff is wonderful and check up on you periodically. The manager on duty definitely helps out during peak hours with drinks even checked with us how everything tasted. Love the atmosphere. If you are looking to eat in the patio, it is super busy and does have a wait time.

The Food was Boring, flavorless and over priced. Our server checked on us maybe once and when he did he was rude and dismissive of our questions. Cute and trendy atmosphere though so I give them 2 stars

It was my first time at this restaurant, and I had an excellent experience. The good was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. Speaking of attentive employees, in the midst of telling a story about a personal hardship...I was surprised by a complimentary flute of champagne! It was such a kind and sweet gesture, and I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Food was delicious and full of flavor but still healthy. Our server was friendly and courteous. Very attentive and made excellent suggestions. Modern and relaxing atmosphere with upbeat authentic music. Thank you!

Went for some drinks and some snacks. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the fact it is all "sneakily" vegan as a vegetarian I loved pulling back the veil for my partner who had no clue. Great concept, great outdoor area and great food. Recommend

Absolutely delicious food first. vegan is just a great foot note. I have a nut allergy and they were very accommodating given how many dishes come with nuts. Really cool vibe and if it's warm enough eat on the patio.
